eventghost.exe process not closing - anyone else?

Post by Livin »

I just recently started having a problem with the process is not closing when I specifically choose the 'exit' menu item inside of EG. I must kill the process in Task Manager.

Anyone else see this problem?
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

I've noticed that if I don't give it a while to shut down before relaunching EventGhost, then it will hang and I have to go through task manager to kill the multiple EventGhost entries.

How long are you giving it before you go into task manager?

Most likely, it is a result from one of your plugins or scripts that causes this delay ( a thread is still running/waiting/hanging, a connection is still open...)

If you start EG with a new fresh config, Im sure it will close correctly as you expect
